Day 194 – (AD 624) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.8 Miles – Comparing Programs on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

I cycled this morning 21.8 miles on my Schwinn 170. This morning's cycle program is the Mt. Hood program.

My results for pedaling 70 minutes of Mt. Hood program are 19.1 miles and 470 calories. I added an additional 8 ½ minutes of cycling which equaled 2.7 miles and 81 more calories burned.

Two programs completed; time frame 70 minutes –

1. Pike’s Pike – 19.0 miles, 457 calories. (Then added 6 min. = 2.2 miles, 72 cal.: Total 21.2 miles; 529 cal.)
2. Mt. Hood – 19.1 miles, 470 calories. (Then added 8 ½ min. = 2.7 miles, 81 cal.: Total 21.8 miles; 551 cal.)

I am now headed in a northerly direction on the Great Northern Highway. But the landscape has not changed. 390 miles to my next destination and goal point.

And I have pedaled a total of 12,786.6 miles; 20,578.1 kilometers.

It is amazing that at 10:00 am on an overcast Wednesday morning there are a number of persons waiting, waiting. I thought that I would be smart and avoid the traffic, the human traffic. My guess is that everyone else in the confines of the 10' by 15' waiting room had the same idea.
