Day 65+40 – (AD 1,227) – 19.1 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – On My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I woke up. I checked the results.

Whew! It is over.

It behooves all American citizens to respect the Office of the President. The main issues are that Mr. Trump's actions and his statements purposely divided the country. When examining the election results it is necessary to note that the results are not a "runaway" majority. It should prove a very interesting short future.

Thank you to those who voted. To those who didn't, you certainly expressed your limited freedom of expression.

And then I figured that the world had not exploded. I then went about my routine. I opened up the house, fed the dogs, and set myself up to pedal on my Schwinn Fitness cycle. This morning I cycled another 19.1 miles on my Schwinn 170. My totals are now – 26,190.0 miles; 42,148.8 kilometers.

I am now located at 52.6 miles of the distance to Crommelin Crater. In the spirit of my virtual trek, I think I am enjoying the solitude and the quiet of my sole journey.

Last night I tried, thank you, Martha Stewart, I attempted a Cauliflower-And-Mushroom Roast.

Check out some details and images at Jim’s Gotta Eat.

I then had a late-night snack of cracker and cheese. It was about the equivalent about 4 oz. and of course my early morning blood sugar when I recorded it climbed 12 points to 121 mg/dL. This is my 1,330th post. Per Blogger Jim’s Trek has recorded, as of this writing, 114,221 Pageviews.

Day 64+40 – (AD 1,226) – 20.1 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – On My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I pedaled 20.1 miles on my Schwinn 170. Totals = 26,170.9 miles; 42,118.1 kilometers.

I have now covered 5.5% of the total distance to my next destination and goal point.

And today is election day. I am amazed at the universal coverage and anticipation this election is receiving.

Day 63+40 – (AD 1,225) – 19.5 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Biting Nails On My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

Today I pedal 20.0 miles on my Schwinn 170. (Doesn’t this sound like a recording.) My totals are now up to 26,150.8 miles; 42,085.7 kilometers.

This morning I reached my next destination and goal point on Mars, Coogoon Valles. Oh yeah, a Vallis on Mars is sort of like a valley on Earth. Coogoon Valles is named after a river in Australia. (How apropos.) Coogoon Valles is at 17.19˚ N 338.26˚ E.

Today I have completed 1,235.8 miles on the surface of Mars.

And I continue, as usual to my new and next destination and goal point Crommelin Crater. This Crater is, per WolframAlpha, 610 miles in a sort of southeasterly direction. Crommelin Crater is now my 8th set destination and goal point.

Soapbox –

I’m trying, just trying to stop watching the polls. Must be my eve of turning 65; I just can’t help myself. And I decided to only restrict myself to FiveThirtyEight.

And right now, at 1:20 pm the Electoral votes are split 296.4 – Hillary Clinton; 240.8 – Donald Trump.

Jim’s Gotta Eat – Last night I tried something completely new and very, very different. I cooked and ate Japanese Beef Curry, found at Pressure Cook Recipes.

What you see is the completed dish, the Japanese Beef Curry on top of Jasmine Rice all topped with broiled Mozzarella Cheese.

Was this good? Is the sky blue? Easy to make with few ingredients but it does take about 3+ hours to prepare.
