Good Day,
Yesterday morning I pedaled my Schwinn 110 22.6 miles. This morning I also pedaled another 22.6 miles. Totals now – 31,376.4 miles; 50,495.5 kilometers.
And I have completed 22.8% of the distance to my next destination and goal point.
DNA –
The results from Living DNA have just returned. There’s a lot of data that I will have to go through to understand. From an autosomal DNA perspective, I’m seeing very close and similar results as per the other tests that I have had done.
My Overview – 94.9% European; 3.9% African; and 1.1% Near East. My mitochondrial DNA or mtDNA – My Haplogroup: H1; My Subclade: H1a1. And my Y-DNA – My Haplogroup: R-M269; My Subclade: R-Z2109. (No new surprises.)
I now cannot wait until Living DNA sets up their matching algorithm(s).
Soapbox –
Yesterday the 538 Popular/Unpopular algorithm is just wavering above the all-time previous record of 36.9%. This morning the Popular rating is 37.1%. What are the odds that it just keeps moving on a downward trend?

Days 309 – (AD 1,471) – 21.4 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
This morning I pedaled my Schwinn 170 21.4 miles. Totals are now recorded at 31,331.2 miles; 50,422.8 kilometers.
And I have now completed 17.1% of the distance to my next destination and goal point. All told I have completed 6,429.6 miles on the Martian surface. (In my mind, of course. the pedaling part is the real thing.)
Question –
I was listening to one of the local radio stations in my car yesterday. It is that time of year, obviously the holiday season time, when certain radio stations conduct their “funds-donation” campaign(s).
The announcer then, in the solicitation and “begging” for callers to call in, stated blatantly, that it was the onus of the listening audience to make their financial donations “more faster”.
Say what? Even my check-speller in my PC programs wants to correct the phrase.4
Am I wrong to say that if I chose a radio station to enhance my listening, and maybe even enhance my learning should I not also expect that the ones that I listen to have at least some modicum of correct grammar usage?
Another question –
If the sides of a pentagon are approximately 7 inches each, what would be the diameter of a decagon that could be fitted within the perimeter of the pentagon?

Days 306, 307 & 308 – (AD 1,470) – 21.6 + 22.0 + 21.5 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
Today I decided to post, (I forgot), 3 days of my Jim’s Trek. The day before yesterday I pedaled my Schwinn 170 21.6 miles. Yesterday I pedaled 22.0 miles. And today I pedaled 21.5 miles. Totals now stand at 31,288.3 miles; 50,353.7 kilometers.
Adding on the 3 days’ distances I have now completed 14.4% of the distance to my next destination and goal point.
Struggling with my printer – Yuch!
Soapbox –
Why bother? At present it is such a Comedy of Errors.
An interesting FiveThirtyEight Chat – “Was Trump’s Endorsement of Roy Moore A Mistake?” Dec. 5, 2017.
Question -
Why do the Fembot recorded messages from certain medical offices conclude their messages "We look forward to seeing you on..." the specific date? One of these days I think, when I attend my appointment, I will ask to meet the Fembot.
Jim’s Gotta Eat –
Cheese. Cheese. Cheese.

“natesilver: The simplest answer is that Trump supports Moore because birds of a feather flock together. And then the RNC backtracked so as to stay on the same page as Trump. Also, the GOP brand was already going to take the PR hit once Trump endorsed Moore, so why not drop a few bucks on him?”Just remember the 45th.

Jim’s Gotta Eat –
Cheese. Cheese. Cheese.
“Overall, people who consumed high levels of cheese had a 14% lower risk of developing coronary heart disease and were 10% less likely to have a stroke than those who rarely or never ate cheese.”
“Eating Cheese Every Day May Actually Be Good for You”, Time, Amanda MacMillan, Dec 5, 2017.
“There is some evidence that cheese—as a substitute for milk, for example—may actually have a protective effect on the heart,” says Stewart. “No one’s saying you should definitely go out and eat 40 grams of cheese a day. But on the upside, a bit of cheese on a cracker doesn’t sound unreasonable.”

Day 305 – (AD 1,467) – 20.9 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
Today I began my 6th year pedaling my Schwinn 170.
This morning I pedaled 20.9 miles. Totals – 31,244.7 miles; 50.283.6.
And I have completed 6.1% of the distance to my next goal point.
Received one of my lab-results back. My A1c has been recorded at 5.4%.
All-things-being-equal "Less than 5.7%" means "Normal (minimal Risk for Type 2 Diabetes)". Guess what?
One could say that I am controlling my diabetes; exercise, diet, and medication.

Day 304 – (AD 1,466) – 20.5 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
This morning I really did not feel like getting on my Schwinn 170. But I got to thinking and realized that today is the last day the total of 5 years that I have been pedaling on my Schwinn Fitness cycles. I have pedaled a total of 1,466 days and completed 31,223.8 miles or 50,249.9 kilometers.
I still have 6,977.8 more miles to go to complete my present goal.
This morning I pedaled 20.5 miles, and completed 3.5% of the distance to my next destination and goal point on Mars.
