Day 221 – (AD 651) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.9 Miles – No Road Images on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I pedaled once again another 21.9 miles on my Schwinn 170. To date I have cycled a total number of 651 days since December 2, 1012 and my total mileage equals 13,374.8; 21,254.7 kilometers. I have now completed 53.71% of my intended overall goal.

And I am in never-never land on the virtual part of my journey in Western Australia. There does not appear to be, nor should I say the Google Image-mobile forgot to take any pictures along the current stretch of the road that I am on. I am located, the "B" marker, somewhere heading east on the Derby Gibb River Road.

And just how many times can we say that Florida is the darling, and laughing stock of national and international news media. The Florida’s governor’s debate – It’s all about the fan.

Day 220 ½ – (AD 650 ½) – Jim's Trek Part III – Miles – Day Off, Fiber Expressions Show Set Up

Good Day,

Today I took a day off from cycling on my Schwinn 170.

Needed to deliver quilts to the Unitarian Universalists Octagon Arts Center in Clearwater. Andy and I, along with five other talented fabric artists, will be presenting our work at Fiber Expressions this coming Friday, October 17 through Sunday, November 23.

An Opening Reception will be sponsored Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Location 2470 Nursery Road, Clearwater.

Viewing times are at the UU Octagon Arts Center -

Tuesdays - Fridays: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon;
Sundays - 9:30 am to 10:30 am; 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.

Got my A1c test results from my phlebotomist fiasco the other day; the results are 5.5%. This is less than the point of 5.7%, which means “Consistent with the absence of diabetes.” Sis, boom, bah. Bring out the band. I done did it. The blood results have spoken. Cycling on my Schwinn 170 and NO, that is NO diabetes medication since July 18, 2013. That’s 455 days.

Day 220 – (AD 650) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.7 Miles – Back Roads in Meda on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I pedaled 21.7 miles on my Schwinn 170. My total mileage now equals 13,352.9; 21,489.5 kilometers.

And I am truly on a back road on my virtual Trek today. I am located on the Derby Gibb Road in Meda. This is somewhere about the 48th (out of 62) largest cattle station, based on area in excess of 1,500 square miles, in Australia, and located in Western Australia. And of course, that is just something you needed to know.

I always check out my junk/spam email file before I delete the contents…just in case there may be something that got placed in there by accident. I never open the files in the trash folder but I can always save an email just in case.

I noticed this morning that I had received a number of emails titled “Exotic Russian Babes!” with the enticement introduction of “Hi Jsmith Meet Gorgeous Ladies Using Your Free Anastasia Credit”. And the sender(s) for all was/were “Lovely Russian Brides Team”.

I have a couple of questions? Of course I do. What type of sport includes a “Lovely Russian Brides Team”? And how did I rate credits from the late Czar’s daughter, the late Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna?

Yes I did find out, after a bit of a search that there is a “Live Chat & Meetup” site, which is registered with the trademark “TM” symbol. It is called “Anastasia Date – Date a Soulful Russian Lady”. But I am perplexed. When does a self-styled online dating site offer reward points. Sort of like going to the Chicken Ranch and getting green stamps.

And of course they’re barking up the most definite wrong tree.  Just wondering what algorithm picked me...

Day 219 – (AD 649) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.5 Miles – #10 Goal, Derby, Western Australia on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I cycled another 21.5 miles on my Schwinn 170. I have now reached a total of 13,331.2 miles; 21,454.5 kilometers. Only 46.46% left to go.

I made it to my 10th goal and destination point at Derby in Western Australia. This leg of my Trek now adds up to a total of 4,696.8 miles; 7,558.38 kilometers.

Leaving Derby I decided to continue my Trek on the Derby Gibb River Road. Check out this virtual leg of my journey.

My 11th goal and destination point is now 936 miles away.

The Pack get so, so excited. They yap. They bounce. They rush about. The DHL person is delivering to the door. They bark. They scurry. The Pack has to sniff and check out the packaged box. Each quivers with excitement. (Hell, I’m getting excited.) I carefully open the box. I slit the tape. Each one of The Pack peers into the box. All tails and former tails are wagging with anticipation. Yeah, it’s opened. I remove another box. A quick sniff and each Pack member retreats out of immediate boredom. It’s the regular order of 1,000 poop bags. Big deal. Such a let down.  Poop bags.

Day 218 – (AD 648) – Jim's Trek Part III – 22.1 Miles – Green Grow The Rushes Oh on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

Today I cycled another 22.1 miles on my Schwinn 170. And this morning I have now surpassed my wildest expectations, I have pedaled 13,309.7 miles; 21,419.9 kilometers.

And as the virtual story goes I am still in the state of Western Australia. I am headed north on the Derby Highway and I am only 4.2 miles from my 10th destination and goal point.

I had a strange dream sometime last night or early this morning that I was driving in some sort of an old convertible and I spotted a group of glimmering reflections on the road. I stopped and saw that there were four gold rings. I leaned down to gather up the rings and as I grabbed for three of them and was reaching for the next a young teenager grabbed the fourth one. We argued over who should have and keep the rings, but neither of us could claim ownership of the rings. The three rings that I grabbed and the fourth were signet rings.

Of the three that I had picked up two each had a straight line on the face and one was imprinted with a star. The young teen had picked up the fourth which also had a straight line engraved on the face. We decided that instead of arguing about them and that we should take them to some authority to find out to whom they belonged.

At a nearby store the rather heavy-set lady inside, after we asked, mentioned that we should try at the Blue Coast Motel. When I asked for the directions to the Blue Coast Motel she said that is was somewhere on the upper road.

And then I woke up from the dream. Such a vivid dream and palatable impression placed in my mind that I wonder what the dream could possibly mean... that is, if I were to believe in the interpretations of dreams. 4 signet rings, 3 lines and a star, the Blue Coast Motel and a teenager. It is strange but wonderful where my mind goes when it is asleep.

My blood sugar count dropped again this morning by 4 more points, to 85. My fare included Bok Choy, Carrots and Green Beans, Sit-fried Chicken with Bean Sprouts, and a Japanese Cucumber and Onion Salad.

I finished my viewing companion Cosmos and began a new one, Gran Hotel. Gran Hotel (2011-2013) is a Spanish TV series drama that takes place in 1905. It has with English subtitles. And even though I speak Spanish I am glad for the subtitles which help me to allow me ear and mind to tune into the Spanish. I figured I had better bone up on my Spanish.
