Day 164 – (AD 594) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.7 Miles – How Do I Drown in a Dry Riverbed In Western Australia on My Schwinn 170?

Good Day,

Well today is not necessarily a boring day. I did get out of bed. The Pack was taken care of. And I got on my Schwinn 170.

I cycled another 21.7 miles; my total is now 12,134.2. And I did finish, my version of course, 200 sit-ups. Aren't you excited?

My virtual journey is somewhat boring right now. All I can think of is whether I will be able to handle the repetitive nature of the landscape images. Check out the satellite view of my current, the “A” marker, location. It looks like I am floundering in the midst of a dry river delta.

And it is pouring right now in Tampa.

I’m getting my exercise done daily. My fasting blood sugar was up a bit this morning by 8 points to 100…but I expected that change.

I just had to munch down a Five Guys double bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and lettuce last night. I didn't forget the A1 Sauce, and of course I just had to eat all the French fries.

Tonight I think I'm gonna do something with beef sausage, potatoes, peppers and onions.

We're working on a couple of quilting projects. Our Equality top has been loaded to our Longarm. The design and work of a sample for our new E-TBA quilt and wall hanging project has been completed. The mosaic top of our Sleep Jezebel has been strip-pieced.

Back to work.

Day 163 – (AD 593) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.0 Miles – Just One of Those Days In Western Australia on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

Today I cycled 21.0 miles on my Schwinn 170. And if you are counting my total to date is 1,112.5 miles, 19,493.2 kilometers.

I am currently located on National Route 1 and headed in a northerly direction. I think this area is just a bit dry and the annual average precipitation is about less than 1 inch, and this is a part of the wet season. And then again it is raining, and raining, and raining in Tampa. At this hour we’ve had already about ½ an inch. The Old Farmer’s Almanac is forecasting 7.5” for August.

And today is just one of those days.

Day 162 – (AD 592) – Jim's Trek Part III – 21.8 Miles – In Western Australia on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

Here’s to the beginning of another day. I pedaled 21.8 miles on my Schwinn 170. And yes I am only 8.5 miles from 12,100. And the mid-morning thundering has started.

And I am following a truck on my virtual Trek. Humans. Existence…on the left side of the road.

Synchronicity and an article I read this morning from The Times of India – “Higher BMI increases risk of developing common cancers” .

Day 161 – (AD 591) – Jim's Trek Part III – 22.0 Miles – Thinking About Aging In Western Australia on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This afternoon I cycled 22.0 miles on my Schwinn 170…and yes I did say this afternoon. I had to adjust my schedule a bit. Today, as part of Jim’s Trek III, I have now pedaled 3,452.6 miles, 28.6% of the total miles of my total.

Not that I am expecting any more drastic changes in my physical and mental state but I am beginning to wonder if there may be a change, hypothetically speaking, to my life span. Please do NOT think that I am postulating or proposing anything of the sort…I am just wondering. And I stumbled upon a 2012 article from Medical News Today by Sarah Glynn, “Exercising Regularly Increases Life Span Even If Overweight”.

The discussion indicates that a physically active person who has an average weight, or BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 had a gain of life expectancy. Well my BMI is now at 22.5. It has reduced considerably since I began my exercise routine. I would like to get it down another 2.5 points to a flat 20.0. We'll see. Hey, and if they ever improved public transportation here in Tampa, I could just walk outside and get hit by a bus.

This afternoon I am located, virtually, on National Route 1, and I am still in the Outback. I am headed north and I am now 1,038 miles from my next destination and goal point.

Oh and I guess this list cannot work for me. I think I have to skip out on number 92. “100 Ways To Live To 100” (Huffington Post).

Day 160 – (AD 590) – Jim's Trek Part III – 22.3 Miles – In The Outback In Western Australia on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

25 years today. Period.

Last night the moonlight was glorious shining through the black shadows of the bamboo as I took The Pack for their late night walk.

This morning I pedaled 22.3 miles on my Schwinn 170. My grand total miles to date is now 12,047.7; 19,388.9 kilometers.

Oh and today, I believe I am officially in the Outback, in Western Australia. Definition – The remote and usually uninhabited inland regions of Australia.  Check out yesterday's road image.  There is a difference.

And guess where lunch was? Give up? In Tampa, of course.

Captain, Oh my Captain. Onward and upward! Go pump some neurons. Expand your craniums! I admire that honesty… that’s a noble quality. Never lose that, because it often disappears with age, or entering politics.

Blood sugar this morning recorded in at 91. I’m still maintaining what appears to be a constant equilibrium.

The blue dotted moving average forecast is still showing a downward trend.
