Days 525 & 526 – (AD 1,685) – 23.6 + 23.0 Miles –Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
You know it is one of those, or should I say it is going to be one of those types of days when you must check your biorhythms.
Yup, my Intellectual and Emotional cycles are below the 0% line, and my Physical cycle is on a downward trend.
In a nutshell, I won’t talk to anybody for the next 7 days.
It is also one of those days that the pop-ups in Google are just driving me batty.
Solution DuckDuckGo. #ComeToTheDuckSide.
DuckDuckGo doesn’t track me. DuckDuckGo stops the damn pop-ups.
This morning I pedaled 23.0 miles on my Schwinn 170. Yesterday I pedaled 23.6 miles. Totals are now 36,473.4 miles; 58,698.4 kilometers.

Here we go again. And now it gets even more confusing.
Great-Great Grandmother Marie (née Katz) had a son Charles who was born in 1862 in Soultz, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France. (I have the 1862 Birth Registration on file.)
She, that is GG-Grandmother Marie (née Katz) married Great-Great-Grandfather Jacques Brunhammer in 1867 in Thann, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France. (I have the 1867 Marriage Registration on file.)
It is written in the 1867 Marriage Registration of GG-Grandparents Jacques and Marie (née Katz) that Charles Katz who was born in 1862 was now recognized as the son of GG-Grandparents Jacques and Marie.
Thann is approximately 12 miles from Soutlz.
I then discovered the 1859 Marriage Registration of Great-Great-Grand Uncle Frédèric Katz marriage to his new wife, Françoise (née Arnold). This marriage took place in Soultz.
In the body of the 1859 Marriage Registration, there is mention that a child, Charles Arnold was recognized now as the legal son of Great-Great-Grand Uncle Frédèric and Françoise (née Arnold) Katz.
I then found Charles Arnold’s, now Katz, 1858 Birth Registration. He was born in Soultz and there is no mention of a biological father.
Charles (née Katz) Arnold is your 1st cousin 3 times removed.
Now here is the part where it becomes confusing, unless I map out the information completely. One of Great-Great-Grandmother Marie (née Katz) Brunhammer’s brother was Great-Great-Grand Uncle Frédèric. They were both 2 of Great-Great-Great Grandparents Louis and Françoise (née Schaffhauser) Katz’s children.
I am amazed at the “coincidence” of the naming of the 2 sons; Great-Great-Grand Uncle Charles (née Katz) Arnold and 1st cousin 3 times removed Charles (née Arnold) Katz. The 2 of them were born 4 years apart, both in Soultz.
The questions now are
1. Who are the 2 Charles’ biological fathers?
2. Are the 2 Charles 1st cousins, by blood?
I told you that this becomes confusing.

Today was/is Tampa Bay Fried Chicken Friday.
In my opinion, and I repeat, in my opinion I am looking for the best fried chicken in the Tampa Bay area.
I began with RyRy's Chicken in Tampa. It is my starting point. I repeat, this is my opinion.
I had intended to only survey and sample fried chicken at non-franchised institutions. Well, I've changed that criteria after today's lunch at Metro Diner on Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa.
Here are my positions on a full serving of fried chicken at each one of the identified locations.
Any other suggestions accepted. Quilting – https://quiltsb.blogspot.com/
Our Cranes Quilts Update -
The next Cranes Quilt, # 19.40 is now 98% completed. We still have the blocking, the sleeve and the label to do. The Crane blocks in #19.40 are 5-inch square.
# 23.40 is almost done. We are at the point of adding the binding.
Looks like Andy and I will be choosing the blue batik fabrics this weekend for the Blue Set of the Cranes Spectrum.

Day 520 – (AD 1,679) – 20.3 Miles –Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170
Good Day,
This morning I pedaled 20.3 miles on my Schwinn 170. Totals are now 36,332.7 miles; 58,471.9 kilometers.
My destination is Ulysses Fossae. As I continue, I am now located at 24.57%.

I got into an online discussion regarding a graphic about historical facts/indications plotted along a straight line.
The argument ensued that I was incorrect regarding the presentation of the information. I stood by the point of view that what I presented was purely correct definitional. The information on the graphic were not a reason to debate my beliefs or my political persuasions.
Too many persons today side with one side or another of the aisle, and that is their free will and choice to do so. I will not argue that point.
I will argue and present logical rebuttal when I am told that a historical fact is incorrect and is not a correctly defined premise and/or fact.
It was sort of like arguing with a claimed member of the “flat-earth society”. Facts and history do not change purely because you think that their tenets and/or definitions do not fit into your sphere of reference.
And I will not agree to disagree, when the alternate point of view is not in keeping with the known facts.
Point. Period.
Jim’s Gotta Eat – https://jimsgottaeat.blogspot.com/
Yes, Grandpa made the 1st batch of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cookies.
And I do believe, the 3- and the 6-year judges were more than satisfied.

One of the 1st songs I learnt to play on my guitar.
This is one of the reasons I got my 1st degree in English.
Thank you, Leonard Cohen. Thank, Mr. Patterson.
This afternoon I received an email from “Kinetic Attraction”.
The email read –
Something tells me that the company, “Kinetic Attraction” may have got their circuits incorrectly attached in their marketing and sales database.
Jim’s Gotta Eat – https://jimsgottaeat.blogspot.com/
Message for today –
"Grandpa, can you make me a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cake?"
Message received.
This morning B S Coffee Saga.

I received my new package for CRI Genetics, Autosomal DNA test.
Isn’t it a wee bit presumptuous that I would want to “reinvent” myself?
And yes, I understand marketing.

Tired of rejection by women? I was too, until I learned this innocent trick that makes women approach ME…
…This video won’t be available for long. Watch it before it’s gone, and you?
You’ll learn how this scientific loophole in female psychology can trigger uncontrollable attraction and desire.
Watch Now!”

Got in to a discussion with an acquaintance who claimed that, as I mentioned that it appears that Neo-Nazis seem to be coming out of the woodwork, or from their proverbial rocks. This acquaintance, who prided themselves as being to the right of the spectrum, implied that I am to the far left as, in their words, were the Neo-Nazis.
I had to stop, breathe, and then show them what a political continuum was.
Period.

Our Cranes Quilt Update -
Quilting has been completed for our Cranes Quilt # 22.40.
Answers -
Andy and Jim are creating 40 Crane Quilts for their Cranes Spectrum. Each of the 40 Crane Quilts will be unique and each will be composed of Crane blocks of either 3"; 4"; 5"; or 6".
Each of the Crane Quilts will be a part of a Color Set - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, or Purple.
Each of the Cranes on each of the 40 quilts will represent a unique shade of their Set.
The Crane blocks are each composed of 17 fabric pieces. The Cranes are constructed of batik fabric while the background of each is white.
It is Andy's and Jim's hope that at our initial showing of the Hope- Cranes Quilts - Project in Clearwater, the 40 Crane Quilts of the Spectrum will appear to be "flying" around at the top of the UUC Octagon Art Center auditorium.
There will also be additional Cranes Quilts presented at our Hope - Cranes Quilt - Project. Yes, there are over 1,200 fabric-pieced Crane blocks.
