Day 279 – (AD 1,441) – 26.4 Miles – Jim’s Trek Part V – Mars on My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

This morning I pedaled my Schwinn 170 26.4 miles. Totals now – 30,648.2 miles; 49,323.6 kilometers.

And I have completed 15.5% of the distance to my next destination.

Telephone etiquette -

Is it me or do every scam artist that calls me via the telephone not understand the word "Concerning"?

Telephone rings. I answer. I put call on speaker. There is a lot of background noise on the initiator's end.

I say: "Hello"

Caller: "Can I speak to J.K.L. Smith?"

I question: "Concerning?"

Caller: "Can I speak to J.K.L. Smith?"

I question, again: "Concerning?"

Caller: "J.K.L. Smith."

Me, again: "Concerning?"

Caller hangs up.

I did not realize that the word "concerning" was such a difficult word in the English language.

Works every time.
