Day 176 – (AD 1,081) – 22.7 Miles – Jim's Trek Part IV – Still On My Schwinn 170

Good Day,

And this morning I pedaled another 22.7 miles on my Schwinn 170. I have now cycled 23,052.7 miles; 37,099.8 kilometers.

My Google Maps location is once again off the tarred roads. I am located at an Unnamed Rd, 73028 Otranto LE, Italy and heading northward.

Not sure where I want to go and think about today.

And it has been 357 years and, if I may note, it does appear that there is quite a contingent of persons and politicians who have not developed today too any length and come to an explicit realization that certain things and times do change…

Permission Was Needed To Move
To live in a community, young men were required to request permission if they were unmarried, had no servant, and were not a public officer. In 1659, it became law in Massachusetts for towns to grant public relief to all residents of over three months. The practice of 'warning out' was developed to prevent towns from taking on unwanted financial burdens. This basically meant that anyone suspected of being a vagabond or a leech would be warned that they needed to move along. Community leaders would personally escort the person being warned out to the next town's borders if necessary.

5 of 8 bands have been completed on our new quilt, and the five have been sewn together.

I tried a new variation on a sourdough no-knead bread. Loaf #98, tastes good...but sort of looks like a failure right out the oven.
